SEWN BINDING (V1).

Catalogs, brochures, magazines, manuals, bulletins, etc. Sewn binding is created by inserting 2 or more sheets into each other and sewing them with metal staples. The cover and inner sheets may have different paper weights. The number of inner sheets is limited. If there are too many, the binding will start to open (see types of bindings).

Typical parameters for printed matter for sewn binding:

  • Recommended final formats: A6, A5, A4
  • Printing technology: high-quality digital printing
  • Recommended material: coated papers, inner sheets 90-170g,
    cover same or 200-300g
  • Bookbinding process: folding, sewing, trimming, at higher weights scoring
  • Minimum quantity: 1

GLUED BINDING (V2).

Catalogs, magazines, annual reports, scripts, collections, manuals, textbooks, etc. Glued binding is created by gluing sheets into a cover (see types of bindings). Inner sheets are usually made of lower weights to prevent them from coming loose from the binding during use. Higher weights are used for the cover.

Typical parameters for printed matter for glued binding:

  • Recommended final formats: A6, A5, A4
  • Printing technology: high-quality digital printing
  • Recommended material: inner sheets 90-150g, cover same or 250-300g
  • Bookbinding process: gluing, trimming
  • Minimum quantity: 1

BOOKBINDING (V8)

Books, photobooks, textbooks, theses, etc. Glued binding is created by suspending the block in hard covers. The block can be stitched or glued ("false V8"). We offer special "book" binding for a block thickness of 15 mm or more, starting from one piece.

Typical parameters for print materials for bookbinding:

  • Recommended output formats: A5, A4
  • Printing technology: high-quality digital printing
  • Recommended material: internal pages 90-130 g
  • Bookbinding: stitching, gluing, trimming, suspending
  • Minimum quantity: 1 (for a block up to 15 mm thick)

WIRE-O BINDING (TWIN)

Presentations, catalogs, scripts, manuals, collections, etc. Metal wire-o binding is created by punching individual sheets and connecting them with a double wire spiral. Using lower paper weights is not recommended as it may cause the sheets to tear. The advantage of this binding is its flatness when opened. Its disadvantage is the higher price, which makes it less suitable for higher volume projects.

Typical parameters for print materials for wire-o binding:

  • Recommended output formats: A6, A5, A4
  • Printing technology: high-quality digital printing
  • Recommended material: internal pages 130-200 g
  • Bookbinding: trimming, wire-o binding
  • Minimum quantity: 1 (for a block up to 15 mm thick)
